My first project car, was my first car back 2001. A 1972 VW Beetle. Didn’t run, torn up inside, and was about 7 different colors of rust. Spent every afternoon after school and time on weekends working on it to get it running and cleaned up. In the end, I fixed all the rust, had to buy a rebuilt motor, put in new carpet, seat pad and seat covers, window seals, took most of the old chrome accents off, installed a stereo, and paid for a paint job(after all bondo and sanding). In total only ended costing about $1500 including the $100 just to buy it! Loved driving around my little go kart EVERYWHERE! Miss it too.

The boxed frame is why Toyota trucks frames rusted out so bad salt get into the holes in the frame and goes to town on on the frame you can't wash it because it's in a box once in the frame it has no place to go.

As someone that has built 2 FF I can say with confidence, FF are shit. And give kit cars a bad reputation. Superformance are light years ahead in every aspect. FF owners are rare to admit just how bad the product is because they spent good money on those shit boxes.

if hydrogen cars were done properly maybe 20 years ago then maybe everything would be fine but as you know too little too late. the hybrid EV is probably the best option. and the fact that you can put an EV charging station at just about every gas station for less than a couple thousand dollars makes it pretty attractive and they already have 220 volt power so it's no big deal. also with a hybrid EV you can just plug it in at home and again every home in America has 220 volt power especially in the garage area. say you install solar panels in your home well charging your vehicle and running it becomes even cheaper. with a battery bank at home technically you can supercharge and home if you really wanted to. honestly you'd have a better option to just have your car run on natural gas and have a compressor at your home. Not only is a convenient it's also a lot cheaper as well.
