I'm a cultural nerd. I'd study the sh*t out of that culture in America. And if I can't find information about them, I'd study about cultures in the region to have a guess on what their is probably like/similar to. Then my thesis would be about how this culture differs from other cultures in the area. By doing this in America you'd probably already know about stuff like the Maiden Queen if it's so important. Because then it'd be important to other cultures there too. And if it doesn't, I'd, when I came on location, ask thousands of questions about why they worship other gods then the ones cultures in the area usually worship.
